I may have been the last person on earth to pick up any of the "Harry Potter" books, but I'm pretty certain I wasn't the last one finished. It's amazing to me the number of people who have at least read book one, let alone the number who have actually finished the series.
I spent 11 weeks recently reading the 4,000 or so pages in the series. I have already seen all five movies that have been produced, so I hurriedly pressed through the first three books. Books four and five were probably my favorite, although books six and seven were pretty decent, especially considering that I didn't know what would happen. Author JK Rowling's style is fascinating, maybe due to the fact that it's fairly simplistic. She creates impressive visuals without struggling through run-on sentences or an immersion of extra words.
Even though the books were initially geared more toward the young adult crowd, I'd recommend the series to adults as well. I decided not to worry about adding links in my review because if you cannot find the "Harry Potter" books on your own, then you might need another type of assistance!

Re: Book review: The "Harry Potter" series
You're not the last one. I've yet to pick them up, although they are on my (long) list of books I should read.
