It's amazing how many people online now have never experienced the original Atari. You still see Space Invaders and Centipede appear in various places occasionally, but I wonder how many people even know how popular these games were in the late 70s and early 80s.
If you're here, you've probably already figured this out. But just in case you aren't paying attention ... here's to the new and improved website!
I'll be adding plenty more items in the upcoming weeks and months, but the tough part was getting it started. I've built the site using MODx, which has to be one of the best, if not the best, PHP-driven content management system.

There are a lot of reasons to make the best choice for president this fall. As a technology writer, I think it is my duty to mention something about the election. The problem is that I have not spent much time delving into the similarities and differences between the candidates with regard to technology.
However, other people have. I'll also admit that I have only skimmed these articles, so we can read them in more detail together!
Lately I've been reading "Catch-22" by Joseph Heller. It's a great book
(watch for a review in the future), but I noticed last week that the
paperback price tag was 95 cents. The copy I'm reading is nearly 50
years old, but even still, how could the publisher make money selling
books for under a buck?
What better way to cripple a nation your trying to topple than to take down key websites in the country.
If you are any sort of sports fan whatsoever, you have probably read numerous articles on sites like espn.com, cbssportsline.com, etc. You may notice that the links I just provided are not clickable because assuming you are a sports fan, you already have them bookmarked. If you are not a sports fan, you should probably stop reading this, because the website I'm about to list will be incomprehensible to you.
I don't completely agree with the old adage "any press is good press," but I will say that it is true about 99 percent of the time. Being featured on Business Insider, which is one of the most prominent tech news sites on the Internet, can never be a bad thing, right?

This will be the last column I write for the Journal Review. I may start them again sometime in the future. I would like to. But for now, this will have to do.
If any of you have column ideas, please still tell them to me and send them. I will keep a list, and somewhere down the road, maybe they will let me do this again.

"Did that guy REALLY think I would call or email him?" she says to her friend. "What do you think I should do with this?"
"There are a lot of things you could do with a business card," the friend says, grabbing the card from her left hand and holding it up to the light. "You could turn it into a coaster. You could make an airplane out of it, although it would be a tiny airplane. You could even write a something on the back of it."
The friend pulls out an ink pen and tries desperately to scribble "FREAK" on the back of it.
